Sa Trinxa, Salinas beach
The beach may be a popular with the chic international jet set but if you amble right down to the far northerly tip you’ll stumble upon Sa Trinxa: a small palm-roofed shack which has remained unchanged for thirty years. Linger within or under a nearby sun umbrella and chill to the languid Balearic beats whilst sipping one of their fantastic cava sangrias.

Cala Tarida
If you’re looking for a beach where your only company is your book and sunhat, then try exploring the hidden coves around Cala Tarida. Tucked among the rocks and cliffs, away from the sprawling hotels are several secret micro-beaches, though you may have to get your feet wet to get there. With prime southerly aspects, these small covers are picture-perfect spots with an expanse of idyllic blue ocean before you.
Can Pilot, San Rafael
A stone’s throw round the corner from Ibiza’s infamous L’Elephant and El Ayuon, sits the modest yet excellent, Can Pilot. It’s signature dish is the T-Bone steak brought direct to your table par-cooked hot upon its own grill so you can finish it to your taste. Dine out on the candle-lit terrace under the stars for an extra romantic flourish.

Atlantis, Es Vedra
Es Vedra, the mysterious rock of myth and legend which rises from the sea off Ibiza’s south west coast is said to be the second most magnetic place on earth. Fabled to be the location of the sunken city, Atlantis, a beautiful beach opposite Es Vedra takes on the name of the folkloric place. To get there is tricky but ultimately rewarding for the panoramic vista and tranquility which envelops you. Take the road from San Antonio to Cala d Hort then turn at La Torre de es Savinar to the beach. Climb down the sandy path past an ancient quarry and you will arrive at Atlantis beach.
